Today, Galaxy pro was introduced by Samsung in the market. Galaxy Pro is an Android smartphone intended to be marketed to the business users in UK.
The smartphone will be competing with the heavily over crowded marketplace where insanely popular handsets by Apple, Google, BlackBerry, HTC and Motorola already exist for the business users.
The South Korea based tech-conglomerate stated that its latest smartphone for the business users, Galaxy Pro, will be having a formal official kind of style and a full keyboard. Google’s Android 2.2 (Froyo) shall be installed as the operating system in the smartphone.
Galaxy Pro shall be powered by a powerful 800 MHz chip processor. The mobile will also feature a fantastic service known as “Social Hub”, whereby the user of the smartphone will be able to get live news feed from several social networks and email networks, all in one place in an easy-to-consume format.
What’s important to know is the fact that although the Galaxy Pro smartphone is not a high-end phone, but it will be competing with the industry leaders such as Apple and other Android smartphones for the focus of attention of the business consumers who have historically been declined towards using the Blackberry business smartphones.
Galaxy Pro also features a 3 mega pixel camera, a 2.8” touchscreen display, WiFi which has the functionality to act as a hotspot for other WiFi enabled devices.
The smartphone will be released under the banner of Three Network in UK and its release date has been planned to be somewhere in the middle of April. Until now, there is no news regarding the release and packages that will be offered for Galaxy Pro in the U.S.
Samsung Galaxy Pro is in fact an extension of Samsung Galaxy family of smartphones in 2011. In 2010, the flagship phone of this smartphone family was Samsung Galaxy S which helped Samsung in achieving record sales for the financial year 2010.
