Cold streak in Miami continued as on Tuesday Trail Blazers lost 105-96 in the worst streak of the season: fifth consecutive loss.
As the expectations were raised last year due to signing of Lebron James, Dwyane Wade and free agent Chris Bosh becoming super team of NBA but due to loss of one point to Chicago as well as defeat on Tuesday was not less painful forcing tears in eyes.
Although 38 points were scored by Wade and James got 31 with eight assists and 11 rebounds but still this all was not much to reverse their chances.
Bosh in a statement commented that only they can help themselves and nobody will be helping them and there were no sympathy parties here.
Bosh scored seven points only as Miami during much of the time kept on playing catch-up.
With 3:59 remaining Miami pulled within 2 points but Portland reacted with a run of 7-0 as they captured their fourth victory in a row and seventh overall.
26 points were scored by LaMarcus Aldridge while 22 were added by Gerald Wallace with nine rebounds contributing to streaking Blazers. 41 points were contributed by Portland’s bench while only eight was scored by the Heat’s reserves.
Erik Spoelstra who is Heat coach remarked that they don’t have many answers as to how they will be getting over this hurdle. The team will regroup against the Los Angeles Lakers for the game on Thursday. The coach further added that one thing they can only do is to keep on grinding and should not be going of the cord.
