Panasonic Lumix G3, the Smallest Camera with Interchangeable Lens

Panasonic has launched the new camera “Lumix G3”, the smallest and lightest model in the world with interchangeable lens.

Panasonic Lumix G3 is equipped with a 16 megapixel sensor and has light-speed autofocus that allows the user to capture the most interesting moments in images of exceptional quality, which until now could only be achieved with the DSLR models.

25% smaller than its predecessor – Lumix G2, weighing less than 340 grams and being also easy to handle, the new Lumix G3 allows the user to take memorable photos.

Lumix G3 offers the fastest autofocus in the world, situated at a level of about 0.1 seconds. A wide range of AF modes is also available, including AF on multiple areas with up to 23 focus areas, Face Detection and Tracking AF, which means that Lumix G3 may set a focus on the subject and can keep it even if the subject moves.

Shutter speed when cascade shooting has improved: 4 at a 16.0 megapixels resolution and 20 frames per second at 4.0 megapixels, Lumix G3 being capable of capturing some special moments at higher resolutions.

3D Photos

Lumix G3 can add a new dimension to the photos, by using the 3D lens Lumix G 12.5mm / F12. It will generate 3D pictures without distortion and without gaps between the images for the left eye and the right one, even if the subject is moving.
