JetBlue-Emirates Partnership Boosts Number of Available Itineraries

New York based JetBlue Airways and Dubai based Emirates announced the creation of a partnership on Monday, through which clients of both carriers will have a bigger offer of global itineraries through John F. Kennedy (JFK) International Airport in New York. Customers will be able to make reservations for joint Emirates-JetBlue Airways itineraries in a few days at online travel agencies and the Emirates’ reservation line. The available routes will be published on the Emirates’ website.

Following the partnership, JetBlue Airways and Emirates clients will be able to travel with a single combined ticket for flights operated by the two carriers, with a quick luggage check and transfer between airlines. At JFK Airport, JetBlue operates from the new 26-gate Terminal 5, and Emirates from the adjacent Terminal 4, allowing for quick and straightforward connections between flights.

According to JetBlue’s director of airline partnerships, Scott Resnick, the partnership is a natural one, as the six-continent network of the Emirates suits JetBlue’s plans of expanding its global reach. Furthermore, the Emirates’ representatives see the partnership as mutually beneficial and suitable, both companies being recognized for their best services in their class, and that American travelers will now have more options, comfort and value for their money than before.

JetBlue Airways is one of JFK’s top airlines, where it offers low-cost flights, while the Emirates are flying in 108 world cities. The Dubai-based airline offers two daily non-stop flights from JFK to the United Arab Emirates capital on board of an A380 and 777-300ER aircrafts.
