The Princess of Monaco is “desperate” to find out if Prince Albert, whom she married a few days ago, had an illegitimate child during the relationship with her.
The royal couple will leave on their honeymoon to South Africa, the birthplace of the bride, who is believed to have wanted to run away several times before the wedding, reports dailymail.co.uk.
The princess is very affected by rumors that Albert, aged 53, would have at least two illegitimate children, other than those that she had already known about.
“The priority for Charlene is to know whether Albert deceived her” a source from the Palace in Monaco said. Doctors will do paternity tests to determine whether Albert has another illegitimate child, conceived during his relationship with Princess Charlene.
“Charlene was resigned to the fact that Albert has illegitimate children, but is desperate to know if any of them was born during the five-year relationship that they had”, the source said. DNA test results could be made public during the honeymoon of the two.
If it turns out that Albert was unfaithful, Charlene could refuse to return to Monaco. Albert of Monaco and Charlene were married Saturday at the Prince’s Palace, in a religious ceremony of an hour and a half. Albert winked to the bride and she smiled widely, but most of the ceremony she had a serious face.
Grooms kissed twice at the altar. A few days before the wedding came reports that Charlene wanted to terminate the marriage and leave to South Africa on grounds of prince’s unfaithfulness. Prince’s Palace denied the rumors.
