The Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds, star of the comedy “The Proposal”, was named Wednesday, the sexiest man alive by People magazine publishers.
People Magazine gives this title every year, in November. The first winner was the Australian actor Mel Gibson, in 1985.
In 2009, the title of sexiest man alive went to U.S. actor Johnny Depp. Johnny Depp has also received this title in 2003.
Among the winners of the title in previous years we have to include Matt Damon (in 2007), Matthew McConaughey (in 2005), Jude Law (in 2004), Ben Affleck (in 2002) and Brad Pitt (in 2000 and 1995).
“Now it’s going to be, ‘Sexiest man, take out the garbage.’ That does sound better. The most difficult part is going to be organically working this title into a conversation with random strangers”, joked the famous Canadian actor.
Ryan Reynolds, aged 34, is “married to the awesome Scarlett Johansson and his star is poised to rocket into the stratosphere when he appears on screen as the Green Lantern next year,” People writes.
