U.S. actor George Clooney, 50 years old, has split from his girlfriend, Italian model Elisabetta Canalis, aged 32, after a two-year relationship.
Although they were seen together just a few days ago, during a dinner held at the villa which actor owns at Lake Como in Italy, George Clooney announced, through a laconic statement, released Wednesday in London, that he separated from his life partner, Italian model Elisabetta Canalis.
“It is true, we parted ways. It was a difficult and extremely personal decision. We hope that our private lives will be respected”, reads the statement, according to corrieredellosport.it.
George Clooney married Talia Balsam in 1989, and they divorced in 1993. Since then, Clooney has said on several occasions that he will never marry again. After they met while filming a commercial for Martini brand in 2000, George Clooney and Lisa Snowdon, a British model, had a relationship for several years, marked by numerous separations and reconciliations.
In 2007, the actor began a relationship with Sarah Larson, but they split in 2008. Since 2009, the American star had an exclusive relationship with Italian model Elisabetta Canalis.
