Lenny Kravitz living in a trailer, will release new album

Lenny KravitzLenny Kravitz has been living for the past two years in a trailer on a beach on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas, where, in fact, he felt inspired to create his most recent album “Black and White America”.

The 47-year-old singer feels “at home” on the island, which is the birthplace of his mother, and here he found inspiration to compose his most recent album, “Black and White America”, informs contactmusic.com.

Lenny, who recently sold his home in New York, but has another house in Paris, said: “This is where I feel most at home. I’ve come and here and gone from since the age of five and I lived here for the past two years”.

“I live in a trailer on the beach without the luxury, I have a dog, a hammock and a jeep that I bought when I released the first album. I wake up at night hearing the music, hear it down the road through the trees, so it stimulates creativity”, he said.

Lenny, whose father is a Jew, says that as child he did not feel strange that he belongs to several races, but he was shocked by the attitude of people when he launched his musical career. “I was told that I’m not black enough or white enough and I do not integrate in a category. I found this interesting, but I do not belong to a single category, and few of us are like that”, said Kravitz.
