The most formidable competitor to Apple has revealed on Thursday evening the most advanced Android smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S3. The smartphone is much smarter than previous versions and it makes everyday life easier. Any content can be viewed at maximum clarity on the Super HD 4.8- inch AMOLED screen while the 8MP main camera and the front camera of 1.9 MP offer a wide variety of options for shooting and intelligent face recognition. Samsung Galaxy S3 comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
“With Galaxy S3, Samsung has redefined the user experience by integrating a top hardware which offers enhanced functionality,” said JK Shin, president and chief of IT & Communications Division at Samsung Mobile. Galaxy S3 can detect facial features, voice and gestures. With the “Smart Stay” feature, Galaxy S3 recognizes how the phone is used – from reading of eBooks to Web browsing – by detecting the user’s eye movement with the front camera. In addition, it maintains a high brightness of screen for superior viewing of content.
Galaxy S3 incorporates “S Voice”, an advanced interface for using common language through which the phone can listen and respond to user commands. Besides searching for information and communication between the device and user, S Voice has powerful functions for the device controls. When the phone’s alarm goes off but you still need some rest, you just have to say “snooze”. You can use S Voice to play your favorite songs, adjust the volume, send text messages and e-mail, organize schedules and automatically launch the camera and capture an image.
Another new feature available on Galaxy S3 is movement recognition for enhanced functionality. If you write someone a message, but you change your mind and decide to call them, you just bring the phone to your ear, and “Direct Call” will dial the number. With “Smart Alert” Galaxy S3 will record the calls or missed messages; the phone will vibrate to let you know about missed calls or messages when it’s used after a period of resting.
The smartphone is available at the moment in Marble Blue and White Pepper colors, but Samsung will launch a wider variety of color options. The battery capacity is 2100 mAh. Smartphone’s thickness is 8.6 mm and it weighs 133 grams.
