A British musician revealed in a recent interview that he had a secret relationship with the singer Amy Winehouse, who died in July 2011 at the age of 27.
Rocker Pete Doherty says he still loves the British artist, despite the fact that she had become “very cruel” to him towards the end of their secret relationship, informs thesun.co.uk. However, Pete Doherty said that his split from Amy Winehouse was done while the health of the singer began to deteriorate.
“It’s hard for me to admit this, but it is true. Amy and I were lovers. I loved her then and still love her now. But, near the end of our relationship, as only lovers can do, she became pretty bad and cruel to me,” said Doherty. At the same time, the rocker says that Amy Winehouse had “a big heart”.
Doherty admits that there were many signs that could warn him about the deteriorating of the singer’s health before her death. “She was tiny and more and more fragile. I’ve never seen her, not even once, eating solid food, she was only drinking milkshakes.”
Wanting to pay an homage to singer Amy Winehouse, Pete Doherty has written a song about their relationship and claims to have some videos of the two of them to be included in the video clip of the song.
“I wrote a song about Amy for my new album, «Flags From The Old Regime».” I never made a song like that – it’s very slow and melancholic. I have many records with her when we were together. Yet I still can not watch them,” said British musician.
Pete Doherty had a relationship with top model Kate Moss, between 2005 and 2007. According to him, the famous British model – who is now married to musician Jamie Hince – phoned him a few weeks ago for the first time after the end of their relationship, to ask him if he gave up drugs.
