Amy Winehouse’s duet recorded with Tony Bennett will be released Wednesday

Amy Winehouse has died at age 27, on July 23, after having experienced many years of alcohol and drug addiction.

Tony Bennett recorded the song “Body and Soul” with Amy Winehouse at Abbey Road Studios in London on March 23 and then praised the British singer for her interpretative skills allowing her to sing easily, including jazz songs.

At least a portion of proceeds to be obtained from the sale of the song “Body and Soul” in the version sung by Amy Winehouse and Tony Bennett, which will be released as a single disc will be donated to a foundation set up by Mitch Winehouse – father of the late artist – in her memory, announced in August, Liz Rosenberg, spokeswoman for Bennett’s.

The foundation created by the family of Amy Winehouse in her memory, based in the London house of the artist, will also be inaugurated on Wednesday in order to help teenagers who suffer from addiction to various substances.

MTV Networks, and several radio stations will broadcast the video and song “Body and Soul” on Wednesday.

The song will also appear on Bennett’s album – a musician aged 85 years a Grammy-winning, and considered a  jazz legend, with hit songs that include “I Left My Heart in San Francisco” and “Rags to Riches”. The album is titled “Duets II” and will be released on September 20.

Amy Winehouse has died at the age of 27 years, having experienced many years of alcohol and drug dependence. Fans and critics have cheered her rough charm, her incisive humor and unique combination of jazz and soul music that characterized her music. Another plus of the controversial British artists was her undeniable talent as a composer – the music she wrote was, without exception, deeply personal, with a brutal candor. Her two albums, “Frank” and “Back to Black” – awarded five Grammys – have been sold so far in more than 12 million copies worldwide.
