An Un-pampered View of Sarah Palin on TV

A new TV show featuring Sarah Palin, “Sarah Palin’s Alaska”, made its TV debut on TV this Sunday, and it portrayed an image of the American public figure that was nowhere in the realm of designer-addicted divas, which are normally starring in shows about American women.

The show has eight parts and is broadcasted by TLC. It presents Sarah Palin as a family oriented person, who loves outdoor activities and is happy doing menial domestic tasks. The TV show presented the family hiking in the Alaskan glaciers and kayaking along the rivers in her home state.

TLC announced that the theme music for the eight-part series will be provided by Christian rock band Third Day from Georgia and the theme song would be “Follow Me There”.

Sarah Palin is not shying away from the media spotlight. The TV show is only her second media adventure, but more is to follow as her second book, “America by Heart”, is bound to come out soon. The 46-year old 2008 vice-presidential candidate on behalf of the Tea Party is widely regarded to be a quite successful candidate in the 2012 presidential elections.

In responding to criticism made by Republican political mastermind Karl Rove, that her TV show lowered her credentials as a serious candidate for higher office, Palin replied that the show is an opportunity to present Alaska and its people to the American viewers in a true light.
