Latest Mel Gibson Film to Hit Cinemas Soon

Mel Gibson will be present again in movie theaters across the world as his last movie, produced at the Summit Entertainment studio, will be “coming soon”, according to a studio announcement on the occasion of the movie trailer’s release.

The latest Gibson film, “The Beaver” was directed by Jodie Foster, and tells the story of a man who lost all his hope. The movie will be released in February 2011 in the UK theaters. As for the US, no date has been announced up to present.

Shooting the scenes was finished earlier this year but the release of the movie was postponed because of the domestic abuse scandal Gibson was implicated in. After breaking up with Russian model Grigorieva, tapes were released in which Mel Gibson was ranting at her and making threats. The Hollywood actor is now being investigated by the Los Angeles police under domestic abuse suspicions, while Grigorieva is being investigated for extortion. No charges have been brought against any of them yet.

All in all, after the astonishing 81 million-dollar success of Gibson’s last movie “Edge of Darkness” in January, 2010 was not a very good year for the actor, who lost a part in “The Hangover” sequel and was later dumped by his agency as well.

However, a recent poll shows that the problems he had with Grigorieva will not keep the public from buying tickets to his upcoming movie.

In “The Beaver”, Mel Gibson is Walter Black, suffering from hopeless depression. He finds comfort and hope in his life by talking through a beaver glove-puppet.
