Nicolas Cage Arrested for Domestic Violence

Actor Nicolas Cage was arrested in New Orleans on Saturday morning after a family scandal, according to sources close to the star.

Sources say that Nicolas Cage was on the streets of New Orleans, “very drunk” when a taxi driver saw him arguing very loudly with his wife, Alice, allegedly bullying her. The taxi driver called the police, claiming that they were shouting, screaming and he saw the actor pushing his wife.

Cage was arrested by police on charges of domestic violence and public disturbance, according to TMZ.

Nicolas Cage has been married for six and a half years with Alice Kim and they have a son together.

Last month, Cage had another run-in with the police, also in New Orleans, when he caused a scandal in a restaurant. He was not arrested back then.

Nicolas Cage was awarded the American Film Academy Award in 1996 for best leading actor for his role in “Leaving Las Vegas”. He played in over 60 films including Face/Off (1997), Ghost Rider (2007) and Knowing (2009). He was married three times, with Patricia Arquette, Lisa Marie Presley and Alice Kim Cage, still his wife.
