Prince William, second in descending order to the British throne, and his fiancée, Kate Middleton, announced who will sing at their wedding, their choices confirming once again that they want a quiet ceremony, in accordance with the tradition, as The Telegraph newspaper announces.
Therefore, the responsibility to provide the soundtrack of the fashion event of the year in Britain, is for the Westminster Abbey and Chapel Royal choirs. Although the event will be attended by numerous celebrities in showbiz, the music will be just traditional. No pop star will play at the wedding, despite rumors that Elton John and James Blunt would be able to handle the musical event.
St James’s Palace has announced who will play at the 29 April wedding. Besides the two mentioned choirs, music will be performed by a military band and the London Chamber Orchestra, the oldest professional orchestra in Britain.
“Both Prince William and Miss Middleton has been given every incentive to choose the music for the wedding, and the repertoire will consist of a series of well-known hymns and choral pieces and some songs that they picked in particular” according to a press release.
