Russian businessman Roman Abramovich has a fortune of over 12 billion dollars and ranks 68 in the top of the richest people on earth, according to Forbes magazine. Much of the wealth he made through the investment fund that he owns – Millhouse LLC. He is best known as the owner ofChelseafootball club which won the Champions League this year.
Abramovich was orphaned, went to state schools and was not a brilliant student. Today, however, he is one of the richest people in the world and live a life downright fabulous. He owns the largest yacht ever built and some of the most expensive properties, organizes parties of millions of dollars and has his own Boeing 767.
And maybe that is why he has bodyguards that would make envious even the U.S. president.

1. He owns Chelsea football club, one of the most valuable football teams in the world.
2. He went into business with oligarch Boris Berezovsky, they bought together shares of an oil company. Now they fight in court for a $6.5 billion fortune.
3. He has a bodyguard team consisting of 40 persons, for which he pays $2 million per year.
4. He was a governor of Russian region Chukotka from 2003 to 2008 and spent $1.3 billion of his money to invest in the area.
5. He has a son with his fiancee who is a model, designer and editor of a magazine. But to be with his current partner, Abramovich had to divorce his wife Irina, and left her 300 million dollars. It was one of the most expensive divorces in the world.
6. In 2008 he bought two paintings for which he spent 120 million dollars just to decorate his house.
7. He owns the largest yacht in the world – Eclipse. It has 2 pools, lasers to prevent photographers to take pictures of him and a submarine for emergency.

10. He bought nine apartments in London that he wants to turn into a residence. When the work will be completed, the residence will probably be the most expensive in UK.

12. Also concerning the properties, Abramovich has a castle in southern France, for which he has spent at least 50 million dollars in renovation.
13. In January he organized a party for which he spent $8 million and invited personalities as Rupert Murdoch, Martha Stewart, George Lucas and Marc Jacobs. Red Hot Chili Peppers played at the party.
14.The newest acquisition of the Russian billionaire is the New Holland island in St. Petersburg, a former military base, where he wants to exhibit works of art. He paid for it 400 million dollars and can be visited by the public.
