Head of Italian government Silvio Berlusconi, aged 74, suffered a “minor head injury” after falling in the shower last night, but he feels good, although it is “tired”, said his personal physician on Friday evening, Alberto Zangrillo.
Silvio Berlusconi “has fallen in the shower and hit his head. He is tired, he is always very tired. (…) He suffered minor head injury”,said Zangrillo in the evening, on Radio 24.
“After his fall, we conducted a medical examination to assess the inflammation that is always checked after an injury, but Berlusconi is well”, he assured.
“All is well, the result is negative”, said agency Ansa doctor, stating that the head of government has suffered a “strong contusion” to the neck and had pain in the jaw.
Berlusconi left the hospital half an hour after being examined after a “simple analgesic therapy” and “went to a walk,” concluded Zangrillo.
At hand Friday afternoon in the Rome Parliament to attend the final adoption of an austerity plan, Prime Minister explained to MPs that he had slipped in the shower last night, hit his head and must return to Milan to be examined by his personal doctor, according to lawmakers quoted by Italian media.
Photographs posted on the Internet site of La Repubblica show the Prime Minister with the bottom of his face swollen, reaching the neck, visible just to reveal the lawmakers the result of his fall.
