Brandon Jacobs, running back for New York Giants, got a 20,000 fine for bad behavior towards the fans, according to a Sunday NFL Network report.
The player was fined because he was making indecent gestures and hurling offensive statements at the fans in the stands at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. His team lost the match 27-17 to the Eagles.
In a communication sent to Brandon Jacobs, NFL official Ray Anderson said his conduct was unsuitable and improper for a professional player, adding that if the player continued this type of behavior, it will result in stricter actions like suspension from the game.
This was Jacobs’ second fine during this season. He was fined 10,000 dollars earlier in the season because he threw his helmet into the crowd in the game against the Indianapolis Colts on September 19.
In an apology published on the team’s website, Brandon Jacobs said that he wanted to toss the helmet to the sidelines but it unintentionally went into the crowd.
