Inspections of Boeing 757 Accelerate

United States aviation watchdog is preparing improved mandates in order to speed up the investigation on some 600 Boeing 757 airships worldwide, sources familiar with the issue told the Wall Street Journal.

Pending air security instructions issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are likely to address some of Boeing Co’s older versions of the aircraft that is so widely utilized in present day world travelling, reports the Wall Street Journal.

Boeing Co’s media liaison Liz Verdier said that the company asked for the examinations and the FAA is making sure that the check-ups are being performed by airway operators. She added that the airplanes are older and they need to be inspected in order to keep the planes being safe. Verdier added that, while the FAA instructions are for the US alone, other regulators across the globe might pick up the trend.

Representatives of the FAA were not available for comments on the measures the institution plans to release.

It is to be expected that air safety watchdogs in Europe and Asia, as well as other regions will follow their American counterpart’s example, affecting many additional planes. The measures may not be limited to Boeing and it may grow to be applied in time to aircrafts produced by other companies as well.
