Samsung Electronics launched Thursday evening at an event in New York the fourth generation of Galaxy S, the Galaxy S4, available in two colors – Black Mist and Frost White – other colors will be launched later this year. The new Samsung Galaxy S4 has a 5-inch display Full HD Amoled, is thinner and lighter than Samsung Galaxy S3.
“We are committed to innovation, we are always listening to learn from people around the world about what kind of progress they really want,” said JK Shin, President and Head of Samsung’s IT & Mobile Communications Division at the launch of Galaxy S4, “a life companion for a richer, simpler life.”
The rear camera of Samsung Galaxy S4 has a 13 MP resolution and the front camera is 2 MP. Samsung Galaxy S4 will come with a choice of 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB storage plus a micro SD slot supporting additional 64 GB. Samsung Galaxy S4 will have infrared sensor, and also temperature and humidity sensors.
Samsung Galaxy S 4 will be available globally in the second quarter, including the United States through partnerships with operators such as AT & T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, U.S. Cellular and Cricket. In Europe, Samsung Galaxy S 4 will enter the market through international partnerships with operators such as Deutsche Telecom, EE, H3G, Orange, Telenor, Telia Sonera, Telefonica and Vodafone.
