Arnold Schwarzenegger, fined twice after smoking in Austrian airports

Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger was fined twice for smoking cigars in areas for non-smoking passengers in two Austrian airports, during a June visit of the American star in his native country.

It happened on airports in the cities of Graz and Salzburg, announced Tuesday Krone Zeitung, the newspaper with the largest circulation in the Austrian press.

Schwarzenegger, former U.S. governor of California, could have the chance of not paying these fines as the United States and Austria have not signed any cooperation agreement for this type of infraction.

According to Krone Zeitung, Graz authorities are not very worried about this. They sent the tickets to the American Embassy in Vienna with the mission of sending them to the famous American actor who has violated anti-smoking legislation in Austria.

The actor, who quit acting during his term as governor, recently announced that he will resume his career. Schwarzenegger said in February that he feels ready to play again in movies and announced that he will participate in the creation of a television series and a comics book, both inspired by his famous political nickname, “The Governator”.

In April, a source told Reuters news agency that Arnold Schwarzenegger is likely to play in a new “Terminator” film franchise, and he will resume the role that made him famous, the one of an indestructible cyborg sent from the future.
