Dominique Strauss-Kahn’s DNA, Identified on the Sofitel Maid Clothing

Laboratory analysis confirmed the presence of DNA of the former IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn on the blouse of the woman who accused him of sexual assault, according to sources cited by U.S. television channel NBC.

According to sources cited, one DNA sample of Dominique-Strauss-Kahn  and samples from clothing of the chambermaid were identical.

Another source cited by the U.S. television station said that the police continue the analysis of samples removed from the apartment at the Hotel Sofitel in New York where the events took place.

Prosecutor’s Office announced Thursday the indictment of former IMF director for sexual assault and attempted rape. Defense attorneys have denied the allegations and said there was no evidence to support the hypothesis of a forced sexual act.

Strauss-Kahn was freed on Friday for a $1 million bail and is under house arrest in a luxury apartment in New York.
