Several hundred demonstrators blocked on Monday the access road to the harbor of Sohar, the second largest in the Sultanate of Oman, located 200 km north of the capital Muscat, according to AFP.
Demonstrators, numbering 700-800, have seized several trucks, used to block the entrance to the harbor.
The port is located about 20 km from the city center, occupied on Saturday by protesters, who were faced with police Sunday. At least one person died from violence.
Protesters demand, among others, to judge all ministers for corruption, the elimination of taxes on income and health care.
They announced their intention to continue their protests until their demands are met and formed popular committees to secure the provision of food and protection.
According to AFP correspondent, the police was not present at the protest, but overseen it by helicopter.
