Sex scandal in the U.S. Democratic Party

Sex scandals in politics have become more frequent. The most recent protagonist is Anthony Weiner, a Democratic Congressman in the U.S. House of Representatives, who has admitted to flirting with unknown women on the Internet.

Congressman Anthony Weiner sent them pictures depicting his naked torso or even more compromising situations, and offering them virtual sex.

Journalists were able to find more photos of Weiner, sent by him over the Internet. In one of them, he wears a bathing suit, but his face is a little obstructed. At first, Weiner denied that the unclothed man in the photography is himself, but later he acknowledged his slip.

One of the photos on his Twitter account has shown up on several Internet sites. The 46-year-old politician admitted he repeatedly committed “nonsense” and that he “lied”, but he will not withdraw from the House of Representatives because of that.

Discussions and obscene letters

Initially, the Democratic Representative has denied all allegations. Later, he admitted that he sent obscene letters and had telephone discussions with six women before and after marriage. But Weiner said he never met any of them, nor committed adultery, and did not use the business computer for personal email.

This sexual scandal put an end to Weiner’s intentions to run for mayor of New York at the 2013 elections.
