Bryan Singer says He Was Not in Hawaii When the Alleged Rape Happened

Bryan SingerHollywood film director Bryan Singer is now saying that he was not in Hawaii in 1999 when the alleged rape happened. Singer said he has evidences that he was in Toronto, Canada and filming his first “X-Men” movie during those times. Among the said proof include credit card bills, telephone records, and other documents, Singer said. The said film was shot in Toronto from September 22 to March 3, 1999.

This is in contrast with what Michael Egan has said on Thursday during a news conference in Beverly Hills, where he was accompanied by his lawyer Jeff Herman. The alleged victim said he was treated as “a piece of meat” and that he had no relationship with the accused. Egan added that her mother learned about the incident when he was 17, and that despite it was reported to LA Police, nothing happened.

Egan, now 31, said he was 15 when Singer started to rape him. The lawsuit says that Singer raped the former child model first time in August 1998 during a party at a mansion in Encino, California. On that event, other underage boys were allegedly with Egan and all of them were said to have been forced to take drugs and alcohol and molested.

The lawsuit says that other similar incidents allegedly took place in Hawaii in August and October 1999, noting that Singer made a promise to Egan (who was then an aspiring actor) that he will be given a role in one of his upcoming movies. Back in 2000, Egan filed a case against two men for the 1998 alleged sexual abuse but Singer was not among the accused. He said that he was raped many times by numerous adult men.

Meanwhile, a representative for X-Men director said the allegations were “completely without merit.” Marty Singer, Bryan’s lawyer, released a statement, saying that the accusations “are completely fabricated” and that “this matter is nothing more than the attorney seeking to get his 15 minutes of fame.” Incidentally, the “X-Men: Days of Future Past” will be released this coming May 23.
