Chris Brown went on Sunday evening to Westlake Studio in Los Angeles to listen to the recordings of one of his proteges. When the rapper wanted to leave, Frank Ocean and his team prevented him from leaving the parking lot outside the building. “This is my studio, this is my parking spot,” said Frank Ocean, according to the same sources close to Brown.


Chris Brown took a few steps forward and he wanted to shake hands with Frank Ocean, but at that moment he was attacked by a staff member who accompanied Ocean. In turn, a friend of Chris Brown intervened and hit Ocean’s friend.

The same sources close to Chris Brown say that was the moment when Frank Ocean decided to get involved and turned to Chris Brown, but he pushed him, triggering the fight that followed. After the altercation Ocean tweeted: “got jumped by chris and a couple guys. lol. i only wish everest was there.”

Police were called to the scene, but by the time they arrived at the recording studio, Chris Brown already left. Police talked with Frank Ocean and so far it appears that none of the two rappers want to press charges. Police did not make arrests.

Chris Brown is the author of hit songs “Kiss Kiss” and “Run It”. His most recent album is titled “Fortune”, released in June 2012. Rapper Frank Ocean became known thanks to his debut album, “Channel Orange”, released in 2012. However, Frank Ocean is one of the first African-American artists from the world of rap and hip-hop music who has publicly confessed that he had a relationship with a person of the same sex, despite the fact that this music industry has a deep homophobic reputation.
